DTC C1521 VGRS Actuator Malfunction

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC Detecting Condition:

VGRS ECU drives the actuator following the steering of the steering wheel to set the gear ratio. VGRS ECU detects current flowing into the actuator motor driving circuit. When VGRS ECU detects over current, it records DTC and turns on the VGRS warning light, and finally turns off the system.

HINT: When DTC C1521/21 is output, short circuit inside the actuator or inside the ECU may be suspected.
