DTC B2414 - Steering Position Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The AFS ECU receives the signal regarding a swerve-angle from the steering sensor in the steering wheel.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)
(a) Check the electronically controlled brake system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO DTC CHART
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING SENSOR - AFS ECU)





(a) Disconnect the steering sensor connector and AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT AFS ECU





(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:






Result:






C -- REPLACE STEERING SENSOR
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPLACE AFS ECU
