DTC B2415 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The AFS ECU receives the vehicle speed signal of the rear wheels from the skid control ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)
(a) Check the DTC of electronically controlled brake system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO DTC CHART
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - AFS ECU)





(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT AFS ECU





(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:










(b) *1: Oscilloscope wave
- Gauge set: 5 V/DIV, 2ms/DIV
- Condition: Drive at about 30 km/h (19 mph)

Result:






C -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPLACE AFS ECU
