DTC B2624 - Vehicles Speed Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The multiplex tilt & telescopic ECU forms a network with the ECUs of other systems through the communication bus. Each ECU informs the other ECUs that it is connected to the network by outputting a specified signal (periodical signal) onto the communication bus on a regular schedule. The multiplex tilt & telescopic ECU receives vehicle speed signals from the combination meter via BEAN to prevent improper operation of the auto away/return function during driving.





HINT: (*1):
If the ignition switch is turned off immediately after the vehicle comes to a sudden stop, the last vehicle speed signal may not be 0 km/h.

1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT
(a) Check if DTC B1271 is output.

HINT: DTC B1271 indicates a combination meter communication stop malfunction for the multiplex communication system.

B -- REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3
(b) Turn the ignition switch on.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Check the vehicle speed signal. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tilt&Telescopic / Data List.

HINT: Vehicle speed of 3 km/h (1.86 mph) or more may be displayed on the Techstream screen immediately after the vehicle comes to a sudden stop. This is caused by a delay in vehicle signal input via BEAN and is not a malfunction.
