INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (SKID CONTROL ECU SUB BUS LINE)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.





(b) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector (S39).
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG1, IG2, GND1, GND2, GND3, GND4, GND5, GND6)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector (S38), (S40), and (S41).





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





HINT: Measure the resistance with the skid control ECU connector (S39) disconnected.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:





HINT: Measure the voltage with the skid control ECU connector (S39) disconnected.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
