Installation

3MZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new throttle body gasket to the intake air connector.

(b) Install the throttle body assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the fuel vapor feed hose (A).
(d) Connect the water by-pass hose No.3 (B).
(e) Connect the water by-pass hose No.2 (C).
(f) Connect the throttle motor connector (D).
2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE W/ RESONATOR

(a) Install the air cleaner hose No.1 to the throttle body assembly with the hose clamp.

(b) Install the air cleaner case w/ resonator with the 5 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the ventilation hose No.2.
3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP W/ INLET

(a) Install a new air cleaner element to the air cleaner case.
(b) Install the air cleaner cap w/ inlet with the 4 clamps.
(c) Install the air cleaner cap w/ inlet with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
4. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

5. ADD COOLANT (for Engine) Testing and Inspection

6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) Testing and Inspection

7. INSTALL COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTER Installation

8. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
10. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE Installation

14. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE LH COVER NO.2 Installation

15. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
