P0A0D-350
P310 HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL: HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM: P0A0D-350: High Voltage System Inter-Lock Circuit High
DTC P0A0D-350 - High Voltage System Inter-Lock Circuit High
DTC P0A0D-351 - High Voltage System Inter-Lock Circuit High
DESCRIPTION
- When the HV control ECU detects that the fail-safe devices are operated, it will prohibit the hybrid system operation or shut off the system main relay. There are two fail-safe devices in two different locations (HV battery, w/ converter inverter). For the HV battery, by inserting and locking the service plug grip into the interlock switch located on the HV battery, the joining of both the plug grip and the switch forms the fail-safe device. The fail-safe device in the engine compartment is a terminal attached by a bolt on the engine side of the inverter cover. The inverter cover cannot be removed without first removing the terminal and bolt. If the service plug grip or interlock device of the inverter cover is removed, the interlock signal circuit will be open. While the vehicle is being driven, this condition is determined as an open malfunction and the system main relay is not shut off. If the fail-safe devices are installed correctly, the system returns to normal when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CAUTION:
- Before inspecting the high-voltage system, take safety precautions to prevent electrical shocks, such as wearing insulated gloves and removing the service plug grip. After removing the service plug grip, put it in your pocket to prevent other technicians from reconnecting it while you are working on the high-voltage system.
- After disconnecting the service plug grip, wait for at least 5 minutes before touching any of the high-voltage connectors or terminals.
HINT: At least 5 minutes is required to discharge the high-voltage capacitor inside the w/ converter inverter assembly.
