DTC P3107-214 - Airbag ECU Communication Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION
- The HV control ECU detects an error in collision signals from the airbag sensor assembly center and alerts the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU





(a) Connect the oscilloscope to the HV control ECU terminals specified in the table below and check the waveform.






OK:
The waveform appears as shown in the illustration.
NG -- CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU





(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the all connectors from the HV control ECU.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HV CONTROL ECU - AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Connect the H29 connector to the HV control ECU.





(c) Disconnect the A20 connector from the airbag sensor assembly center.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below when the ignition switch is in the ON position.
Standard Voltage:





(e) Turn the ignition switch off.
(f) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER
