Smart Access System With Push-Button Start (for Start Function)





THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Start Function): DTC CHECK / CLEAR

NOTICE:
If the Techstream is connected to the vehicle with the engine switch off, the information stored in smart access system with push-button start related ECUs (the certification ECU, power management control ECU and main body ECU) cannot be read. However, smart access system with push-button start DTCs and Data List information can be confirmed even if the engine switch is off using the method below:

* Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins (the Techstream screen changes when communication begins).
* Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, select the vehicle type under manual mode, and then enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Trouble Codes.

1. CHECK FOR DTC (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU [POWER SOURCE CONTROL])

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Power Source Control / Trouble Codes.

(e) Check for DTCs.

2. CHECK FOR DTC (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU [STARTING CONTROL])

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Starting Control / Trouble Codes.

(e) Check for DTCs.

3. CHECK FOR DTC (CERTIFICATION ECU)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Trouble Codes.

(e) Check for DTCs.

4. CLEAR DTC (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU [POWER SOURCE CONTROL])

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Power Source Control / Trouble Codes.

(e) Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream display.

5. CLEAR DTC (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU [STARTING CONTROL])

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Starting Control / Trouble Codes.

(e) Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream display.

6. CLEAR DTC (CERTIFICATION ECU)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream display.
