DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives switch signals from the multiplex network master switch, and key-linked switch signals from the front door lock. The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
Since the power door lock control system has functions that use LIN communication, first confirm that there is no malfunction in the communication system by inspecting the LIN communication functions in accordance with the "How to Proceed with Troubleshooting" procedures. Then, conduct the following inspection procedure.

1. CHECK DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Check the door lock operation.

A -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (KEY-LINKED SWITCH)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the door key-linked switches is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (KEY-LINKED SWITCH)

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal

3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (KEY-LINKED SWITCH)

(a) Remove the front door lock Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the K5 door lock connector.

(b) Remove the G47 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) Removal.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal
