DESCRIPTION
When the mirror heater switch is operated, the mirror heater signal is sent to the air conditioning amplifier assembly and then to each outer mirror control ECU assembly via CAN communication. Based on the signal, each outer mirror control ECU assembly operates the mirror heater.

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check if a CAN communication DTC is output Diagnosis System.

2. CHECK WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM
(a) Check window defogger system operation System Description.
OK:
Window defogger system is normal.
NG -- GO TO WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM Window Defogger System
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (MIRROR HEATER)
(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the mirror heater function Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:
Mirror heater operates normally.

4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Removal
OK -- REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH Removal
5. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH Removal
OK -- REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH Removal
