PRE-COLLISION: DRIVER MONITOR ECU: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Removal

4. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH Removal

5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Removal

6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH CUSHION Removal

9. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

12. REMOVE DRIVER MONITOR ECU ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the bolt and driver monitor ECU assembly.
