Removal





SUSPENSION CONTROL: HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
Before removal, be sure to disable vehicle height control by pressing the height control OFF switch and confirming that the height control OFF indication is displayed on the meter.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL LH

3. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR LH Removal

5. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR COVER

(a) Remove the 3 clips and height control compressor cover.

6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Disassembly

7. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL FILTER

(a) Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 hoses.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and height control filter from the height control compressor bracket.





8. DISCONNECT NO. 2 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 height control tube from the No. 2 height control valve Suspension Control System (w/ Air Suspension).





HINT
For the disconnection procedure of the tube (type 2), refer to Precaution of the Suspension Control System section.

9. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Detach the 3 clamps.

(c) Detach the No. 2 height control tube.

(d) Disconnect the connector.





(e) Detach the clamp.

(f) Remove the 3 bolts and height control compressor.





(g) Remove the bolt and height control dryer.





(h) Remove the O-ring.

(i) Remove the 3 bushes from the height control compressor.





10. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR BRACKET

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and height control compressor bracket.
