SUSPENSION CONTROL: ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR: REMOVAL
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
3. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR LH
(a) Detach the 3 clamps, and then disconnect the connector.
(b) Using a hexagon wrench (4 mm), remove the 2 hexagon socket head cap bolts and absorber control actuator.
NOTICE:
Replace the absorber control actuator with a new one if it is dropped.
4. REMOVE SUSPENSION CONTROL BRACKET LH
(a) Using SST, remove the nut and bracket.
