HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Removal
6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
7. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
8. REMOVE HOOD CENTER CUSHION Removal
9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal
11. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal
12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Removal
13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
14. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal
15. REMOVE SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR (w/ Smog Ventilation Sensor) Removal
16. REMOVE INTAKE AIR RESONATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
17. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER Removal
18. REMOVE NO. 3 INVERTER BRACKET Removal
19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage each clamp.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock support sub-assembly.
20. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT Removal
21. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge tube sub-assembly.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge tube sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
22. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
23. DISCONNECT INLET HYBRID RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the inlet hybrid radiator hose.
NOTICE:
* Do not apply excessive force to the inlet hybrid radiator hose.
* Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
24. DISCONNECT OUTLET HYBRID RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the outlet hybrid radiator hose.
NOTICE:
* Do not apply excessive force to the outlet hybrid radiator hose.
* Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
25. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and cooler condenser assembly with the hybrid radiator assembly.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and cooler condenser assembly from the hybrid radiator assembly.
