DTC U0122-732 - Lost Communication with Skid Control ECU

DESCRIPTION

If 2 or more DTCs are output during the DTC check, one side of the CAN branch wire may be open. (One side of the CANH [branch wire] /CANL [branch wire] of the ECU and/or sensor is open.)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC.
(d) Check for DTC.
HINT: When DTCs other than U0122 are output, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by those DTCs first.

B -- GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (SKID CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE)

(a) Disconnect the A15 skid control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the A13 and A15 skid control ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
