DTC B1415/15 - Driver Side Duct Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The air duct sensor (for driver side) detects the register temperature and sends the appropriate signals to the air conditioning amplifier.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (DUCT SENSOR (for Driver Side))
(a) Use the Data List to check if the duct sensor (for driver side) is functioning properly.
(1) Intelligent tester

(2) Techstream

Air conditioner





OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER (TFAL - SG-2 VOLTAGE)
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
2. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER (TFAL - SG-2 VOLTAGE)





(a) Remove the air conditioning amplifier with its connectors still connected Removal.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:





HINT: As the temperature increases, the voltage decreases.

NG -- CHECK AIR DUCT SENSOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
3. CHECK AIR DUCT SENSOR





(a) Remove the air duct sensor Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





HINT: As the temperature increases, the resistance decreases.

NG -- REPLACE AIR DUCT SENSOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - AIR DUCT SENSOR)





(a) Disconnect the L14 air duct sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the L77 air conditioning amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
