DTC C1AE9 - Rear Right Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The rear corner No. 1 ultrasonic sensor RH is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the rear corner sensor RH. If the rear corner sensor RH has an open or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the power switch ON (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

A -- Continue to next step.
2. REPLACE REAR CORNER NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH





(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor with a normally functioning sensor Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
