WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: If the battery voltage is applied to terminal +B1 or +B2 of the hybrid vehicle control ECU, even though the power switch is off, the circuit is shorted to +B.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
(a) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Move the shift lever to a position other than P.
(d) Leave the vehicle as is for approximately 1 second.
(e) Select the following menu items:
(1) Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CURRENT CODES.
(2) Techstream - Select: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(f) Check if DTCs are output.
Result:

(g) Move the shift lever to P position.
B -- GO TO DTC CHART
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK RELAY (IGCT2 RELAY)
(a) Turn the power switch off.

(b) Remove the IGCT2 relay from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE RELAY (IGCT2 RELAY)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 RELAY BLOCK)
(a) Disconnect connector A76 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTE: Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
