Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The display and navigation assembly receives a reverse signal from the rear junction block ECU and information about the navigation antenna, and then adjusts vehicle position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL (DISPLAY CHECK MODE)





(a) Enter the "Display Check" mode (Vehicle Signal Check Mode) Display Check Mode.
(b) Check that the display changes between ON and OFF according to the shift lever operation.
HINT: This display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual change in the switch.

NG -- CHECK REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU (BACK-UP SIGNAL)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. CHECK REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU (BACK-UP SIGNAL)
(a) Disconnect the L59 display connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
OK -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)





(a) Disconnect the L59 display connector.
(b) Disconnect the S63 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK (REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
(a) Temporarily replace the ECU with a new or normally functioning one.
(b) Check that the multi-display displays the rear view of the vehicle when the shift lever position is changed to R.
NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY
OK -- END (LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK IS DEFECTIVE)
