Climate Control System does not Operate on Rear Right Side

DESCRIPTION

When the curtain switch assembly's* seat heater switch is operated, the rear power seat switch receives the signal. The rear power seat switch then sends the signal to the seat climate control ECU through LIN communication. The seat climate control ECU receives the signal and operates the air seat.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FUSE (P-IG1-4, P RR S/HTR)
(a) Remove the P-IG1-4 and P RR S/HTR fuses from the passenger side junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the f8 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the power seat module switch.
(1) Intelligent tester

(2) Techstream

Rear Console Switch

OK:
On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

Result

B -- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH
A -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
C -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the z57 switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:

HINT: As the circuit has a diode, perform the measurement with the tester in diode mode.

NG -- REPLACE CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH - CURTAIN SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the z56 power seat switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the z57 curtain switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH
