2UR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: HYDROCARBON ADSORBER CATALYST ACTUATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION:
- The procedures should be performed by at least 2 people.
- Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.
- The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
- Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.
HINT: When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

1. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

2. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 6 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 5 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR Removal

5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH Removal

6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE Removal

11. DISCONNECT EXHAUST PIPE AIR HOSE Removal

12. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR Removal

13. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal

15. REMOVE UPPER NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE PROTECTOR






(a) Disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses.
(b) Remove the 6 nuts and protector LH and RH.
16. REMOVE AIR CONTROL SPRING






(a) Remove the spring LH and RH.
17. REMOVE HYDROCARBON ADSORBER CATALYST ACTUATOR






(a) Remove the 4 nuts.
(b) Disconnect the 2 rods from the retainers and remove the actuator LH and RH.
