2UR-FSE LUBRICATION: OIL LEVEL SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP Removal

3. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the timing chain cover [1][2]Removal.
4. REMOVE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

6. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

7. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL PAN BAFFLE PLATE






(a) Remove the 4 bolts and baffle plate.
8. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR





(a) Remove the 4 bolts and oil level sensor.






(b) Cut off the gasket as shown in the illustration.
(c) Remove the gasket from the oil level sensor.
HINT: After cutting away the parts of the gasket shown in the illustration, remove only the outer part of the gasket.
