DTC B2413 - Headlight Swivel Motor RH Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The swivel motor receives a signal from the AFS ECU to operate and sends a signal indicating the direction of the headlight and condition of the headlight swivel motor to the AFS ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn Techstream on.
(d) Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / AFS / Active Test.
(e) Check that the motors operate.

AFS:





OK:
Swivel motors operate normally.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
HINT: AFS ECU Power Source Circuit

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the A22 AFS ECU connector.




(b) Disconnect the A15 or A18 headlight assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
LH Side (B2412)





RH Side (B2413)





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT AFS ECU




(a) Reconnect the A22 AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
LH Side (B2412)





RH Side (B2413)





NG -- REPLACE AFS ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. REPLACE HEADLIGHT REFLECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL MOTOR)
OK:
Returns to normal operation.
NG -- REPLACE AFS ECU
OK -- END
