Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
- The ECM detects a cruise control switch signal and sends it to the combination meter through the CAN communication system. Then the CRUISE main indicator light comes on.
- The CRUISE main indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Check the CRUISE main indicator light by performing the Active Test.
Combination Meter:
OK:
Indicator light blinks/goes off.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.
(e) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the CRUISE main indicator light.

OK:
The display changes as shown above according to switch operation.
NG -- REPLACE ECM
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
