Wiper Signal Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The distance control ECU detects HI mode wiper operation. If the windshield wiper operate in HI mode for 5 seconds or more, the cruise control will be cancelled and "CRUISE NOT AVAILABLE" will be displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter. Operating the cruise main switch after HI mode wiper operation stop sill start the cruise control again.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE:
When the distance control ECU and/or ECM are replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed Installation.
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT WIPER SYSTEM
Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.
OK:
Wiper function is normal.
NG -- GO TO WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the A8 and E11 connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
