DTC B1216 - Rear Door ECU RH Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION
- This DTC is detected when communication between the multiplex network rear door ECU RH (rear door ECU RH) and the network gateway ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPERATION
(a) Open the rear door RH and check that the door warning light (built in the combination meter) illuminates.
OK:
Door warning light illuminates.
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK REAR DOOR ECU RH
NG -- Continue to next step.
2.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REAR DOOR ECU RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the O3 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:





Standard resistance





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE




(a) Disconnect the O3, O7 and M4 ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
