DTC B2414 - Steering Position Sensor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The AFS ECU receives signals regarding the swerve-angle from the steering sensor in the steering wheel.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STEERING SENSOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the Techstream.
AFS (AFS ECU)
OK:
Condition value will be displayed.
Result
C -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
B -- REPLACE AFS ECU
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Check the DTC of the vehicle stability control system.
OK:
DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
3.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEERING CONTROL ECU - AFS ECU)
(a) Disconnect the A40 and A29 ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4.
CHECK AFS ECU
(a) Reconnect the A29 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the connector.
Standard voltage:

C -- REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPLACE AFS ECU
