Removal








2GR-FSE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal
3. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine) Service and Repair
4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal
7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal
9. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE INLET
10. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
11. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE





(a) Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses and hose clamp.
12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Removal
13. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE Removal
14. REMOVE OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER

15. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
HINT:
Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Removal
17. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal
18. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Removal
19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Removal
20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
21. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
22. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the harness from the cooling fan ECU.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and radiator.
NOTICE:
Do not allow the cooler condenser and radiator to come into contact with each other.





(c) Detach the 3 claws and remove the fan.
(d) Remove the 2 radiator support cushions and 2 radiator lower supports from the radiator.
