DESCRIPTION

The information of the AFS OFF switch state is sent to AFS ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: The AFS OFF switch uses the multiplex communication system. First make sure that the multiplex communication system is functioning normally before performing troubleshooting on the AFS OFF switch.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AFS OFF SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to (with CAN VIM) the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the Techstream.

OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AFS OFF SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the Techstream.

The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
