Headlight Beam Level Control ECU Communication Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The headlight beam level control ECU sends error signals to the main body ECU LH. The headlight beam level control ECU receives vehicle speed signal and headlight (low beam) signal to control headlight beam level control motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ECU - MAIN BODY ECU LH)




(a) Disconnect the A65 headlight beam level control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the A30 main body ECU LH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ECU - MAIN BODY ECU RH)




(a) Disconnect the A65 headlight beam level control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the DR main body ECU RH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ECU - SKID CONTROL ECU)




(a) Disconnect the A65 headlight beam level control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the A13 and A15 skid control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
