L110 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal
6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal
8. SEPARATE NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE Removal
9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Removal
10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE Removal
11. DISCONNECT OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER CONNECTOR
CAUTION:
Be sure to perform the procedure as described below. Do not turn the power switch on (READY) before reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
(a) Release the lock of the connector.
(b) Disconnect the clamp.
(c) Release the lock lever of the connector as shown in the illustration. Disconnect the connector from the oil pump motor controller.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the connector from the oil pump motor controller, make sure not to strain the wire harness.
(d) Disconnect the signal line connector from the oil pump motor controller.
(e) Release the lock of the power line connector.
(f) Release the lock lever of the connector as shown in the illustration. Disconnect the power line connector from the oil pump motor controller.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the connector from the oil pump motor controller, make sure not to strain the wire harness.
(g) Separate the clamp and turn the protector upward to remove it from the vehicle.
NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force when turning the protector.
12. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
13. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
14. DRAIN TRANSMISSION FLUID Removal
15. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
16. REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE
(a) Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses.
NOTICE:
Do not touch any parts that may be hot, such as the exhaust pipe.
HINT: Cover each disconnected oil cooler hose with a plastic bag or tape to prevent fluid from dripping.
(b) Remove the 3 bolts, 4 gaskets and oil cooler tube.
17. DISCONNECT WATER PIPE AND HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the water pipe and hose sub-assembly.
18. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS
(a) Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness bracket from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
(b) Separate the 9 wire harness clamps and 2 connectors from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
(c) Remove the wire harness bracket from the wire harness.
19. REMOVE OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the transmission breather hose from the oil with motor pump assembly.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts, oil with motor pump and gasket from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
