Front Wiper Motor Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU LH controls the wiper motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Select the item below in the Active Test and then check that the front wiper motor operates.
Body No. 3 (Main Body ECU LH):
OK:
Front wiper motor operates.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the windshield wiper motor.
(b) Check the LO operation.
(1) Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 5 (+1) of the connector and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 4 (E), and check that the motor operates at low speed.
(c) Check the HI operation.
(1) Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 3 (+2) of the connector and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 1 (S), and check that the motor operates at high speed.
NG -- REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MOTOR - ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the A19 motor connector.
(b) Disconnect the A30 and PK ECU connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
