Headlight Cleaner Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the conditions of the headlight cleaner switch.
The headlight cleaner control relay receives the following signals:

- Headlight cleaner switch signal
- Headlight operating signal
- Daytime running light operating signal
- Front washer motor operating signal

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.
CHECK MAIN BODY ECU RH (HDLO SIGNAL)




(a) Measure the voltage of the connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - MAIN BODY ECU RH)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2.
CHECK FRONT LIGHT ECU (FRONT WINDOW WASHER SIGNAL)




(a) Measure the voltage of the connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - FRONT LIGHT ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the K12 switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

CHECK HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY




(a) Disconnect the K12 switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

CHECK MAIN BODY ECU RH (HRLY SIGNAL)




(a) Measure the voltage of the connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU RH)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
6.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - MAIN BODY ECU RH)




(a) Disconnect the A5 relay connector.
(b) Disconnect the A39 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
7.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - FRONT LIGHT ECU)




(a) Disconnect the A5 relay connector.
(b) Disconnect the 1X ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
8.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU RH)




(a) Disconnect the K12 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the DL ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
9.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - SWITCH)




(a) Disconnect the A5 relay connector.
(b) Disconnect the K12 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
