INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Check for DTC.
Result
B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
(b) Disconnect the DA ECU connector.
(c) Disconnect the L73 sensor connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (GSW VOLTAGE)
(b) Reconnect the DA ECU connector.
(c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.
(d) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(e) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR
(b) Replace the center airbag sensor Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Recheck for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
B -- END
A -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
