DESCRIPTION

The multiplex network front light ECU (front controller) illuminates and turns off the clearance light.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CLEARANCE LIGHT)
(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

Normal condition listed above is displayed.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT LIGHT ECU - HEADLIGHT)
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT LIGHT ECU

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT LIGHT ECU - HEADLIGHT)




(a) Disconnect the B14 ECU connector.
(b) for HID Headlight (w/o Driver Monitor Camera):
(1) Disconnect the B2 and B12 light connectors.
(c) for HID Headlight (w/ Driver Monitor Camera), LED Headlight:
(1) Disconnect the B1 and B11 light connectors.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

C -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
B -- CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the clearance light bulb with a new or normally functioning one Disassembly.
(b) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B2482 output does not occur.
NG -- CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)
OK -- END (REPLACE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB)
4. CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the headlight with a new or normally functioning one.
HINT:
- for HID Headlight Removal.
- for LED Headlight Removal.
(b) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B2482 output does not occur.
