DTC C1AE6 - Rear Left Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The rear corner No. 1 ultrasonic sensor LH is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the rear corner sensor LH. If the rear corner sensor LH has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the power switch ON (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

A -- Continue to next step.
2. REPLACE REAR CORNER NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH




(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor with a normally functioning sensor Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
