DTC C1AEC - Front Sensor Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the front sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a front sensor.

1. SYSTEM CHECK
(a) Check if the vehicle is equipped with the advanced parking guidance system.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - FRONT SIDE SENSOR LH)




(a) Disconnect the L19 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the D1 sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SIDE SENSOR LH - FRONT CORNER SENSOR LH)




(a) Disconnect the D1 and D2 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CORNER SENSOR LH - FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH)




(a) Disconnect the D2 and D3 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH - FRONT CENTER SENSOR RH)




(a) Disconnect the D3 and D4 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR RH - FRONT CORNER SENSOR RH)




(a) Disconnect the D4 and D6 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
