PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: CLEARANCE WARNING ECU (w/o Advanced Parking Guidance System): REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Removal
6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL Removal
8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE NO. 2 CLUSTER MOULDING Removal
10. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal
11. REMOVE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU Removal
12. REMOVE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU WITH BRACKET
(a) Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connectors.
NOTICE:
Do not forcibly disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the bolt, nut and ECU with bracket.
13. REMOVE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
(a) Remove the nut and clearance warning ECU from the bracket.
- Avoid any impact to the clearance warning ECU.
- Do not drop the ECU. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
