B2621 - Communication Interruption

DESCRIPTION

The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU forms a network with the ECUs of other systems through the communication bus. Each ECU informs the other ECUs that they are connected to the network by outputting a specified signal (periodical signal) onto the communication bus on a regular schedule. The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU detects the connection of each ECU based on the signal.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check the DTC of the CAN communication system CAN Communication System.

B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MAIN BODY ECU COMMUNICATION SIGNAL)

(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn Techstream on.

(d) Check the signal communication state of the main body ECU on the tester screen. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tilt&Telescopic / Data List.

OK:

"OK" is displayed.

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER SEAT ECU COMMUNICATION SIGNAL)

(a) Check the signal communication state of the front power seat switch LH (position control ECU) on the tester screen.

NG -- REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (DRIVER SEAT ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (COMBINATION METER ECU COMMUNICATION SIGNAL)

(a) Check the signal communication state of the power source control ECU on the tester screen.
