C1AE4 - Front Right Sensor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front right sensor) is installed on the front bumper. The clearance warning ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the front right sensor. If the front right sensor has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Recheck for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
Result:
B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LEFT SENSOR - FRONT RIGHT SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the A45 and A46 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SENSOR)
(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor Removal with a normally functioning sensor.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Recheck for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
