C1AE6 - Rear Left Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left sensor) is installed on the front bumper. The clearance warning ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the rear left sensor. If the rear left sensor has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Delete the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR LEFT SENSOR - REAR LEFT CENTER SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the S1 and S3 sensor connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR LEFT SENSOR)

(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor Removal with a normally functioning sensor.





NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Delete the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
