Luggage Compartment Door Closer System
ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM
(a) Open the luggage compartment door so that it is slightly ajar (luggage door courtesy switch OFF and door open / close detection switch OFF). Check that the motor starts operating and fully closes (fully locks) the door.
(b) Open the luggage compartment door so that it is slightly ajar (luggage door courtesy switch OFF and door open / close detection switch OFF). When the motor starts operating, perform the luggage door opening operation by turning on any of the following switches: 1) luggage compartment door opener inner switch, 2) the transmitter's trunk switch, or 3) luggage compartment door opener outer switch. Check that the motor stops its operation and starts rotating in reverse (starts opening). As a result, the luggage door should not be in the fully closed position.
2. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SYSTEM
(a) When the key is in the detection area, push the luggage compartment door opener outer switch. Check that the luggage compartment door is opened.
(b) When the key is not in the detection area, check that pushing the luggage compartment door opener outer switch does not open the luggage compartment door.
3. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER MAIN SWITCH (CANCELLATION FUNCTION)
(a) When the luggage compartment door opener main switch is not pushed, check that the luggage compartment door cannot be opened by using the luggage compartment door opener inner switch and luggage compartment door opener outer switch.

* When the luggage compartment door opener main switch is not pushed, the luggage compartment door can be opened only by using the key.
* When a vehicle is shipped from a factory, the luggage compartment door opener main switch is pushed.
