Installation
AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the condenser with the 2 bolts on the bottom side of the condenser.
Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
(b) Install the inverter cooling pipe with the 2 bolts.
Torque : 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
HINT
If the condenser is replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the new condenser.
Capacity:
40 cc (1.4 fl. oz.)
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 11 or equivalent
2. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the vinyl tape attached to the pipe and connecting part of the cooler condenser.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 11 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the discharge hose.
(d) Connect the discharge hose to the cooler condenser with the bolt.
Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
3. CONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the vinyl tape attached to the pipe and connecting part of the cooler condenser.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 11 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the liquid tube.
(d) Connect the liquid tube to the cooler condenser with the bolt.
Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the radiator support with 5 bolts.
Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
(b) Attach the 6 clamps and install the wire harness.
6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation
7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Installation
8. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Installation
9. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (W/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Installation
10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Installation
11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
12. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
13. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Installation
15. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation
16. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation
17. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation
18. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
19. CHARGE REFRIGERANT Service and Repair
20. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
21. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair
22. CHECK FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT Service and Repair
23. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
