B1584 - Panel Switch Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

When the power switch is on (ACC), if the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly (base portion) judges that the "TILT" switch in the multi-display switch built into the telltale light assembly is stuck, this DTC will be stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- INSPECT TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

OK -- END

2. INSPECT TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the F74 telltale light assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(a) Disconnect the F74 telltale light assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the F72 center instrument cluster finish panel assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal
