DESCRIPTION

The display and navigation module display and center instrument cluster finish panel assembly are connected by an AVC-LAN communication line.

The base and multi-display portions of the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly are connected by an AVC-LAN communication line.

When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the base and multi-display portions of the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly, these DTCs will be stored.

If either B1597 or B15D6 and either B1560 or B156F are output, troubleshoot for B1560 or B156F first.

* *1: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or hybrid system start voltage.
* The display and navigation module display is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Check for optional components.

(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
* This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY PORTION POWER SOURCE)

(a) Disconnect the F37 center instrument cluster finish panel assembly connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. INSPECT CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the F72 center instrument cluster finish panel assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(a) Disconnect the F37 and F72 center instrument cluster finish panel assembly connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. REPLACE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal

OK -- END
