P1630 - Communication Error from VSC to ECM

DESCRIPTION

The brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) sends signals such as cruise control cancel demand signals and brake operation demand from hybrid vehicle control ECU response signals to the hybrid vehicle control ECU when the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P1630)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Clear the DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

(e) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more.

(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on.

(3) Push the -SET switch to activate the cruise control.

(f) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Codes.

(g) Read the DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

2. REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER (SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Replace the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) Removal.

3. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P1630)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Clear the DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

(e) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.
