DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of each door courtesy light switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

D -- INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

C -- INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)

B -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)

A -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)

(a) Remove the front door courtesy light switch assembly Components.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - SWITCH)

(a) for Front LH

(1) Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(2) Disconnect the L10 front door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) for Front RH

(1) Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(2) Disconnect the M10 front door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) for Front LH





(1) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

5. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)

(a) Remove the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Components.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - REAR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)

(a) for Rear LH

(1) Disconnect the F8 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(2) Disconnect the L12 rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) for Rear RH

(1) Disconnect the F9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(2) Disconnect the M12 rear door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Service and Repair

7. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the luggage compartment door lock assembly Components.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK - MAIN BODY ECU)

(a) Disconnect the F9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(b) Disconnect the L34 luggage compartment door lock assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Service and Repair
