2AZ-FXE ENGINE CONTROL: THROTTLE BODY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new gasket onto the intake manifold.

(b) Install the throttle body with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 30 Nm (305 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses to the throttle body.

(d) Connect the throttle body connector.

(e) Install the fuel pipe support with the bolt.

Torque : 30 Nm (305 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

(f) Connect the purge line hose to the throttle body.

2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Insert the hinges.





(b) Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the 2 clamps.

(c) Align the matchmarks of the No. 1 air cleaner hose and throttle body.





(d) Connect the No. 1 air cleaner hose to the throttle body and unfasten the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp.

NOTICE:
Make sure that the hose clamp is at the correct angle as shown in the illustration.

(e) Connect the purge line hose.

(f) Connect the purge VSV vacuum hose.

(g) Connect the purge VSV connector.

(h) Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the hose.

(i) Connect the mass air flow meter connector and clamp.

3. ADD COOLANT (for Engine) Service and Repair

4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine)

5. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL Installation

10. INSTALL WATER GUARD PLATE RH Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

(a) Install the front wiper motor and link Installation.

12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
Be sure to perform this procedure after reassembling the throttle body assembly, removing and reinstalling any throttle body component or replacing the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs DTC Check / Clear.

(c) Set the vehicle to inspection mode Component Tests and General Diagnostics.

(d) Start the engine without operating the accelerator pedal and check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the air conditioning is switched off after the engine is warmed up.

Standard:





NOTICE:
* If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.
* Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
* Make sure that park (P) is selected.
(e) Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
