DESCRIPTION

w/ Manual (SOS) Switch

Using this circuit, the telematics transceiver sends power to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) sends microphone signals to the display and navigation module display via the telematics transceiver. The display and navigation module display and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

w/o Manual (SOS) Switch

Using this circuit, the display and navigation module display sends power to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) sends microphone signals to the display and navigation module display. The display and navigation module display and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the L132 display and navigation module display connector.

(b) Disconnect the X4 map light assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)

(a) Disconnect the L132 display and navigation module display connector.

(b) Disconnect the L127 telematics transceiver connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the L127 telematics transceiver connector.

(b) Disconnect the X4 map light assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the X4 map light assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

7. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the power switch on (ACC).





(b) Connect an oscilloscope to terminals X4-21 (MI1+) and X4-20 (MIC-) of the telephone microphone assembly connector.

(c) Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.
